DID YOU KNOW???
Dreamality, Inc.'s Music Summer Camp held July 10-14th at Opera America, NYC, was a whole lot of fun! It was a week of learning, exploring, and music-making that the kids and teachers won't soon forget! Throughout the week, piano, guitar, and voice lessons were given, and each day the kids went on a different field trip to a NYC landmark! We toured Radio City Music Hall (and got to meet a Rockette), Lincoln Center, Madison Square Garden, and Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum.
Our 5th Annual Benefit Concert held November 16th at B.B. King's, NYC was an incredible success! Headlining the concert was legendary pop-soul group, Surface, who gave an amazing performance and had guests on their feet dancing to their hits " Only You Can Make Me Happy", "Shower Me With Your Love", "Closer Than Friends" and many more! Our Co-Founder, Singer-Songwriter and Recording Artist, Ranjini, took the stage along with Recording Artist, Jeremy Isaac, Rapper, Darnell Robinson, Girl-group DAME, and up and coming 15-year old singing sensation Victoria Dennis. It was a fun-filled night jam-packed with top-notch talent and performances... all in an effort to raise money to bring music education to kids in underserved communities. What sets our organization apart from other music-based foundations is that we seek to see students from the grass-roots level of music instruction all the way through to college entrance. This especially benefits those students who show a strong talent as teenagers and wish to pursue music as a profession. In addition to providing basic music education, Dreamality's goal is to help prepare kids with a "whole child-whole artist" approach, through mentorship, as well as performance and career development opportunities.
One of our specialized programs, From Street to Stage focuses its attention on children in crime-afflicted neighborhoods. We strongly believe that if a child has an outlet that engages their creativity, we can attract him or her away from the negativity, and direct them towards healthy expression through music. We stress the importance of academics by requiring students to stay in school and maintain an appropriate GPA in order to be a Dreamality beneficiary.
Inspiration is key - with this in mind, we also have in place a Panel of Pros that consists of prominent members of the music community. From musicians, to producers, to engineers, our team of mentors are ready to share their wealth of experience as mentors to Dreamality beneficiaries.
With your support, Dreamality can affect some real change on our community - one young musician at a time. Please join us in our mission of empowering our youth through music education. No donation is too small. Now is the time to make a difference!
In January, we began our music therapy program! Dreamality, Inc. is proud to partner with the Community Options Center of Hillsborough, NJ. Check out the video below to see the positive affects of our music therapy program on the folks at Community Options!
